Quartermaster - Army

  • I entered the military in 1968, (Army). After training my MOS was Flight Operations Coordinator. (71P). After training at Fort Knox, Kentucky, I was assigned to Fort Rucker, Alabama. 
During my time in Vietnam I was a attached to the 17th Aviation Group, 1st Aviation Brigade.
Duties in our operations office were scheduling our aircrafts missions. I also had the duty of recording flight hours for all crew members. These records of flight time were used for submitting pilots and crew members for awards and decorations.
 
As a civilian I was a Department Manager/Process Engineer for a major Auto Manufacturer, retiring after 42 years of active and consulting service. I worked in Louisville, Kentucky (my home town), Detroit, Chicago, Norfolk, Saint Louis and Oakville Ontario,, Canada.
 
I’m a life member of VFW post 4206. My wife is a life member of the Post Auxiliary.
