VFW Post 4206 Judge Advocate Ron Pelletier and Post Junior Vice Commander Scott Rossi distribute VFW Buddy Poppies on Nov. 9 outside Sam’s Club in West Melbourne, Fla. Rossi, who also is the Post Buddy Poppy chairman, said the location supported the Poppy drive on the weekend before Veterans Day. Pelletier, a Vietnam veteran and Connecticut transplant, added that the Post does a lot in the community. For instance, on Veterans Day, the Post held a ceremony at 11:11 a.m., followed by a picnic. The Post, which also is in Melbourne, has a full calendar of events, from steak nights and fish dinners to live music and karaoke.
